And along the way, if you can continue to turn to God inwardly in the private conversations you have with Him in the deepest recesses of your heart, you will fall in love with Him more and more. Going inward to meet Him only to come to know that He is in all things. Your journey with God is the most beautiful amazing part of being alive. It’s the most precious gift we receive. We live because He has made it so and in living we learn about Him, we grow in love with Him and if we’re willing, we can Glorify Him with every part of our Who we are. We must be humbled in accepting that we have a God so loving and so good, that is our Father our friend, our comforter, our strength, that gives us everything we could possibly need to one day meet Him and be with Him forever.
If you knew there was an awesome sale going on and it was your favorite store and it was a killer deal, you’d go through some trouble to get there if you knew it was a limited engagement. This world is a limited engagement. Nothing we see or feel or experience here is permanent. So there should be a sense of urgency to rush to God, to cling to Him, to call out to Him, to want to do what is pleasing to Him. To spend time with Him, to learn about Him, to do good works to offer up to Him, to do what He tells us to do. He’s already laid out the instructions and given us turn by turn directions for the Kingdom of Heaven.
We have our volume turned off on the GPS that is the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes our arrogance, our pride, our tendencies, and habits, mute that voice on the inside that wants you to do a full U-turn. We will drive for miles in the wrong direction knowing deep down we’re not going where we should. When we turn up not where we wanted to be, we have a tendency to look to the Heavens, either to blame or to finally ask clemency. The thing is if we know God is always with us, and we invite Him to direct our steps, we might not end up in these places. And if we do, and we’ve been sent there to rescue another lost brother or sister, then we’ll know we’ve been sent there with a purpose. Because it is not our will that must be done, but it is God’s will that must be done in all things. We are not on our time, we are on His time. Spend His time with Him giving praise and Glory to Him and worshipping and thanking and basking in the joy of His love and light of His mercy. He is a merciful, loving, and beautiful God who loves so deeply we can’t ever possibly fathom the extent. But how blessed are we to have the most powerful, loving, perfect Father in all the universe. Nothing the world can offer you will ever compare to the love of our Father, to the amazingness of our creator.
